2022 St. George Trek

The Saint George Trek is The National Catholic Committee on Scouting’s® high adventure Catholic leadership program for older Catholic Scouts BSA and Venture Crew members at Philmont Scout Ranch. The program brings Catholic high school youth from around the country together with selected priests, religious and seminarians for eleven days of backpacking in the context of a vocation retreat. The 2022 Saint George Trek begins on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the participants meet, get to know one another, train, have fun and pray. Nominations for participants for male and female troops are now being accepted. If you have a scout interested in this program, please complete this form and submit it via email to [email protected] prior to March 5, 2022.

2022 Distinguished Citizen Award

The Capitol Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, is proud to honor Alan Graham, founder and CEO of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, as the recipient of its 2022 Distinguished Citizen Award.

The Distinguished Citizen Award Luncheon honors individuals who share Scouting’s belief in leadership, determination and values, and have contributed significantly to the growth and vitality of our community. It also provides critical financial support through the Friends of Scouting campaign for all our programs across 15 counties in Central Texas. 2022 NCCS Scholarship Program

In 2022, the National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS) will award 20% more scholarship money totaling $25,000 in the NCCS Scholarship Program.

Visit the NCCS website to find a list of eligibility requirements and the 2022 application needed to apply for the scholarships. Scholarship applicants only need to fill out one application to apply for all the NCCS Scholarships. Applicants will automatically be considered for all scholarship awards. Application deadline is March 31, 2022
