1. Professor Hahn suggests that the 144,000 are "sealed" for protection because they were the most at risk in the city about to be destroyed, Jerusalem. How does the Church seal those most at risk, and why are these at risk?
2. Judaism set aside special seasons and days for special religious celebrations and remembrances to remind and encourage the people of Israel to be faithful to the Covenant. How does the Church do this?
3. Where do we behold God "face-to-face" today? What can be done to encourage and emphasize this sacrament today?
4. Name several "battles" of the Catholic Church today. In what ways should she sound the trumpet to call on the Lord to fight the battle?
5. Because Jericho was the biggest and strongest city, the Israelites attacked it first to make a point of their ability to win the Promise Land. What is the "city" that needs to be conquered by individual Catholics in their pursuit of holiness? By the Church? What lessons can be learned from the Battle of Jericho about these modern “cities?"

9. The leaders in Jerusalem were oblivious to the foolishness of their war against Rome. How are Catholics today blinded into thinking they can make war against Satan and sin by themselves?
